Where Magic Goes to Die
Wish is everything that Disney left on the cutting room floor. It’s the viscera that Walt Disney scraped off the bottom of his foot and tossed into the dustbin. Nothing works in this film. The characters, the plot, the animation, the music, and the comedy lack redeemable qualities. Nostalgia is dangled in front of the audience like keys in front of a toddler, hoping to catch their attention and divert them away from the dumpster fire around them. Allegations that this movie was AI generated floated around since its release and have since proven true. Calling this movie lazy is an insult to sloths and cats.
Watch any other Disney animated movie before this. Yes, even Home on the Range is fair game. Watch any live action remake before watching this. It’s not even worth a hate-watch, and that’s the worst I can offer. At least The Room and Battlefield Earth have entertaining moments. This just leaves a hole in your soul where your childhood used to dwell.
